General FAQs
What are the benefits of disposable incontinence products?
Disposable products are a practical option for many people, either for personal use or when caring for someone experiencing incontinence. They tend to offer higher absorbency levels than washable alternatives, and come in a wide range of styles, from slim, discreet inserts for light leaks to larger all-in-one options designed for heavier use.
They're ideal for heavier leaks or if you prefer a quick, easy way to stay protected throughout the day or night. Once used, they can be safely disposed of, with no washing or drying needed.
What are the benefits of washable incontinence products?
Washable products can offer long-term value, particularly if you use protection regularly.
Though they may cost more upfront, they’re designed to be reused again and again, reducing waste and saving money over time.
Washable incontinence products also tend to look and feel more like regular underwear, often made from soft cotton for added comfort. Most washable pants are best suited for light leaks, and can be worn on their own or with shaped pads for extra protection.

Do you offer advice on incontinence itself?
While our team is happy to help with advice on our listed products, we’re not able to offer medical guidance.
If you’re unsure about the cause of leaks or how best to manage them, it’s always a good idea to speak with your GP, a district nurse, or a continence specialist. They’ll be able to offer the right support for your personal situation.
What is the absorbency rating system?
We hand-select the brands and products we provide, which means the rating systems can differ slightly between brands. To keep things simple, there are two main types of absorbency rating:
-
Millilitres (ml): This shows the amount of liquid a product can hold. You can compare this to everyday items like water bottles for reference.
-
Droplet Ratings: Many brands use a droplet system, with more droplets indicating higher absorbency.
Both are there to help you choose a product that gives you the right level of protection and peace of mind.

It’s completely normal to feel unsure when trying something new. Our helpful guides and size charts can point you in the right direction, or you can give us a call for advice.

Can I get incontinence products on the NHS?
Yes, you may be able to access certain products through your GP, a district nurse, or a local continence service. Availability varies depending on your location and specific health conditions.
We’d recommend you discuss this with your GP, as they can help assess your situation and let you know what’s available. You can then decide to either top up your supply with online retailers or make the switch to another brand.
Do you offer VAT relief on incontinence products?
Yes. Many incontinence products qualify for VAT exemption if you live with a long-term condition. You can find more details on this here. If you still have questions, feel free to give us a call.
